Do I need a license to buy refrigerant?

Yes. Under the Clean Air Act, you must be a certified technician (EPA Section 608 or 609) to purchase regulated refrigerants like R-410A, R-22, or R-134a For Resellers:** If you are purchasing for resale (wholesaler), you must sign a statement verifying that you will only sell to certified technicians.

It’s simple. During checkout (or on your first order), you will be prompted to either:

1. Upload a photo of your EPA Certification Card.

2. Provide your Certificate Number and Last Name for verification. *We keep this on file securely, so you only have to do it once.*

Small cans (under 2 lbs) of R-134a with self-sealing valves can generally be purchased by the public in many states. However, large cylinders (30 lbs) of R-134a or R-1234yf are restricted to Section 609 certified automotive technicians.

We process orders within 1 business day. Since refrigerant is a hazardous material (Hazmat), it must travel via

Ground Shipping (FedEx/UPS).

West Coast: 1-3 Business Days

Midwest: 3-4 Business Days

East Coast: 4-5 Business Days

No. Hazardous materials require a physical street address and often a signature upon delivery. We cannot ship to PO Boxes, APO, or FPO addresses.

A: Minor cosmetic dents from shipping are common and do not affect the gas. However, if the valve is damaged or the box shows signs of leakage:

1. Do not use the cylinder.

2. Take photos immediately.

3. Contact us at support@refrigelle.com within 48 hours for a replacement.
